After retiring from the educational field as a district’s curriculum director in 2020, I decided to open an online shop to give me an outlet to continue a hobby, collecting vintage and antiques. I named the shop Lynn and Gail. My best friend of twenty-five years, who died in 2008, was Gail Smith. She and I spent every weekend driving across Arkansas to flea markets, antique shops, and auctions on Saturday nights, staying until one or two a.m., waiting to purchase a piece of vintage furniture, antique, or vintage glassware. Gail mainly collected capidmonite porcelain and Victorian cherry wood carved furniture. While I loved it all.😁. After buying vintage items for our home, we had planned to open a brick-and-mortar store. Twelve years ago, I got it done in her honor and love of collecting vintage glassware by opening LynnandGail Vintage on Etsy. Opening LynnandGail helps me to finish our dream of offering buyers genius vintage and antique items that bring about childhood memories, start their first collector’s item, and the nostalgia of vintage and antiques. I hope that every item a buyer purchases from LynnanddGail, they love and cherish the item as much as Gail and I did, as I still do. Because the item is in my shop until it's purchased. I get to admire the vintage item until it's sold.
