Majolica vase with applied twisted vine arms, a lady draped on a flowering branch, applied handles, and rose Buds, g, a bluish-green under glazing on a glossy burgundy background is the precise depiction of this beautiful vase. There are four numbers underneath the base, along with two digits or letters in black ink, as well as two other numbers near one peg. I believe the two numbers are 57. The glazing seems sloppy; it’s more of a drip or runs, which I suspect this piece is still Majolica.
If you are a Mojalica collector, and I got my description wrong, please message me, and I will make the corrections. I appreciate all the help. I purchased the vase from an elderly lady at a local market. She was adamant about her asking price. She said the vase belonged to her mother. She was departing with her collections of her mother’s belonging because she needed to downsize. She, too, had collected many vintage items over the years, and she needed to purge.
Condition: one of the arms sustained damage, not noticeable from a front view. It makes me think it happened in production. Please view the last pictures for an up-close view. The light discolorations are from the glare of sunlight.
