For sale is a Vintage silverplate Wine Coaster or Ice Coaster with a band of floral design around the metal rim of the coaster. These are great for placing your decanter, a bottle of chilled wine, or your crystal ice bucket to catch the condensation from your chilled bottle or ice bucket. The inside is made from some hardened plastic material formed to resemble wood. It is unbranded, with no maker’s mark. It's some metal that doesn't attract to a magnet.

You can also use this piece to place a small flower pot to catch water when watering your plate. I have lots of small planted flowers that would fit perfectly sitting on this coaster.

Here is a little background on where I found the coaster.
I purchased the item at a little mom-and-pop store in Dumas, AR, on my way home from visiting a friend. You know the story: I saw a sign that read Antuque shop, and I had to stop. 😁 A very nice older couple ran the shop off their front porch.

I didn't find antiques, but I got a few lovely vintage items. The Lady Sold what I thought was a pastry, at least that's what it looked like. But it was a cabbage roll, cabbage and meat enclosed in a delicate pastry. I asked for the recipe; of course, it's an ancient family recipe from her great-German grandmother.
